Now here is a real character. This is Roger Bourgein, our local Town Crier, a very traditional role in a lot of English towns. Traditionally the Town Crier would have announced the news of the day to the townsfolk but these days it is a largely ceremonial role, representing the town and, on this occasion, being out and about during the Jubilee and local Town Festival activities.
On the last 2 Camera Club outings I have been trying to create a blurred image using camera movement and slower shutter speed. Last night were found ourselves in a wooded area and the sunlight was just right. Here is the result which I was very pleased with. I reckon it almost looks like an oil painting with those blocks of colour.
